Do you ever have one of those projects, that no matter how awesome it is, for whatever reason it keeps getting pushed to the back burner? That was this project. I’ve had this fabric, Alexander Henry’s Bathing Beauties Print and this pattern idea in mind for quite some time now, but other projects kept taking precedence. I am glad I finally got around to completing this project because it may be the quirkiest top I’ve ever made and I love it!
If you’d like to make your own you can access a FREE tutorial in my resource library–all you’ll need is an existing bodice pattern to get started. I used the bodice from the By Hand London Holly Jumpsuit.
I styled my peplum top with Levi’s 311 Shaping Skinny Jeans , block heels by Sam Edelman from Zappos (sadly sold out but super-similar here!) earrings from TJ Maxx that are ancient and this choker from Bauble Bar.
I loved the way this project turned out! If you want to access the printable FREE tutorial make sure to subscribe to get access to the resource library.
Summer is flying by, I hope you make something as funky and bright as this top super-soon!
Happy Sewing and Styling,
